At 10 am this morning GM will unveil two of their most important models for 2007. The Silverado and Sierra full-size pickups' debut will be broadcast live via GM's Fast Lane blog here and your auto-obsessed friends at Autoblog will provide full team coverage.

Autoblog tipster Jai pointed us in the direction of a pristine set of spy shots of the new Chevy Silverado, completely uncloaked. The GMT900-based new Silverado is clearly differentiated from its SUV siblings, but early comments on various message boards are mixed. Check out the full photos here, and tell us what you think.

Though GM’s clever staff tried to throw all of us off their trail by covering the emblem on this truck’s steering wheel with black tape, we’re still certain beyond a shadow of a doubt that this is the interior of the 2007 Chevy Silverado. GM Inside News has posted the picture, which shows a much higher-grade interior in the next GMT-900 pickup than the GMT-800 that came before it. Note the now ubiquitous HVAC control knobs that have shown up on everything from the Buick Lucerne

In response to surprisingly heavy early demand for the new Chevrolet Tahoe, General Motors is calling on its suppliers for parts earlier-than-expected, in hopes of moving production schedules ahead for the company’s other GMT-900 platform SUVs.
