Ram 1500 EcoDiesel HFE ekes out another mpg, creeps toward 30

The newly unveiled Ram 1500 EcoDiesel HFE model brings the fullsize pickup closer than ever to 30 miles per gallon fuel economy. Thanks to the right mix of aerodynamics-improving measures, the model boosts the mileage of the standard diesel version to 29 mpg highway, 21 mpg city and 24 mpg combined. Its 3.0-liter diesel V6 still makes 240 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque and routes through the brand's eight-speed automatic gearbox.
