International and Ford haven't been the best of friends lately, with the two companies sparring over compensation for the Powerstroke 6.4L. International stopped making the engines in protest earlier in the year, but this time the union has Chris Shunk
To hear Chris Doane tell it, the day was like any other. He stumbled upon a 2008 Ford Super Duty F-250 Powerstroke in a parking lot and started snapping away. The driver eventually returned and this is where Doane's day took a sharp turn towards the bizarre and frightening. The driver in question, who our sources tell us is indeed a Ford employee, snapped a synapse and chased Doane on public roads for a half an hour, including following him in and out of parking lots, tailgating him while runnin
Last week we saw a picture of a heavily-camouflaged 2008 Ford Super Duty; this week brings additional shots of vehicles in more revealing livery - something that looks more like Mossy Oak. The sharp eye of Chris Doane found three examples - a single-rear-wheel truck, a dually, and a medium-duty flatbed - undergoing hot-weather testing in the desert.
Until now there's more in interest in what will be powering the next Ford F-350 Super Duty than what it will look like. It's already been announced the problematic 6.0L Powerstroke diesel will be replaced by a new twin-turbo 6.4L diesel motor that may utilize piezo injectors to help meet more stringent emissions standards that take effect next year.

The fortified F-Series trucks won't hit dealers until January, despite internal plans to release it in the fourth quarter of 2006. As a result, the Blue Oval's profit-rich big boys likely won't reach the market ahead of rival General Motors' revamped
The pending replacement of Chevrolet's full-size pickup for 2007 has been well-documented with a few million grainy spy shots, but this is the first time we can recall seeing the new-for-2008 Silverado HD out and about. And while most of the KGP Photography captured mule is done up in industry-standard Hefty Bag school of camouflage, it's possible to divine a couple of things: With an 8' bed, it's a predictably lengthy son-of-a-gun. And two, under its hastily-
Well, the fuse has been lit on the 2006 installment of the splendiforously-titled Tire Rack Cannonball One Lap of America presented by Car & Driver (better known as 'One Lap'), and as usual, your trusty Autoblog contact is on the scene. We had high hopes for 'live-blogging' the Cannonball Run offspring this year via daily updates, but circumstances have conspired against us. At any rate, for those not terribly familiar with the event, here's the (kinda-sort
