Car Advice reports that on the first day of accepting online reservations, Yo-Avto logged an astounding 51,188 orders and that total pre-orders have topped 138,800. Of course, these numbers mean next to nothing since pre-ordering a yo-mobile doesn't require a deposit or a signed commitment to buy the vehicle.
Word of Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov's plans to mass produce the world's cheapest natural gas hybrid minicar ($7,000 to $10,000) leaked out earlier this year. The billionaire's ambitious project calls for the construction of assembly plant in the Russian city of Togliatti starting in January 2011.
