Since first hearing that ex-McLaren F1 supercar designer Gordon Murray had left the famous racing company to create his own design house and that its first product was to be a revolutionary city car, we've been anxiously awaiting more details to come to the surface. Lucky for us, they just have. Murray promises that his low-cost car will cut emissions in half and be cheap to purchase and manufacturer. In fact, twenty-percent fewer parts are said to be necessary for the assembly of the vehicle. S
If such projections as cutting the cost of driving and vehicle emissions in half sounds a bit radical to you, that's exactly the response that Gordon Murray is hoping for. Before completely dismissing these claims, remember that Murray is the man most responsible for the road-going supercar known as the McLaren F1, as well as quite a number of race winning Formula 1 cars from a few decades ago. Note too that Caparo, makers of the awe-inspiring T1 are also heavily involved in the project. Conside
The recent spate of negative press hampering the Caparo T1 hasn't stopped the makers of the clichéd "road-going racecar" from releasing a host of details outlining the finer points of the T1's safety systems.
You feelin' lucky, punk? Don't even think about trying your luck in London with this Caparo T1 police car on the prowl. It will run you down faster than a cheetah does a gazelle, that is, if it doesn't burst into flames first. Top Gear reports that the car will obviously not be pressed into service, but it's a fun idea and one of the hottest cruisers we've ever come across. Produced in conjunction with the London Metropolitan Police and Caparo, the T1 cruiser will be display this week at the MPH
Earlier this month, Fifth Gear presenter and British Touring Car Championship driver Jason Plato was hurt behind the wheel of the high-performance Caparo T1 supercar while filming a segment for the UK television show. In this video footage of the incident, all looks swell as Plato takes the car around a track, but towards the end of the test, the flames start to build and the car suddenly comes to screeching halt.

Michelin is our favorite tire company from now on. Without resorting to the cheap, albeit highly effective and entertaining, trick of hiring booth babes to draw attention to themselves, this French tiremaker still had one of the largest crowds of any vendor at the show. Accomplished with an elegant simplicity that had us drooling from the moment we saw the space. The plan was so breathtakingly simple that we hope others will follow their lead in the future. OK, we wouldn't complain too much if t
The Caparo T1 supercar unveiled in Monaco this past April will be making an appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed next month. The insectlike T1 should be quite an attraction, given its unique appearance, astonishing performance capabilities, and British heritage (the T1 is designed, developed and built in England).
You remember the Caparo T1 – that F1 turned street-legal supercar developed with help from ex-McLaren F1 engineers. We already told you that the first prototype of the production model will be unveiled at the Top Marques show in Monaco by “His Serene Highness Prince Albert II.” (That’s got to be the most seriously unfortunate title ever.) We expect to see live shots of the car sometime this Thursday, April 20th. Here are some additional pics of the car provided by Caparo
