Beijing 2010: Zap introduces electric taxi based on old Rav4 knock-off [w/video]

At press conference ahead of the Beijing Motor Show, Steve Schneider, CEO of Zap introduced his company's latest effort, an electric taxi. Like previous Zap products, the taxi is to be produced in China. This one will built by a joint venture between Zap and electric meter manufacturer Holley Group.

JAC Vision 2: The sequel hits Beijing Motor Show

China's Jianghuai Automobile Co., Ltd., unveiled its Vision II concept car at the Beijing Auto Show. Again. As its name suggests, this is the second iteration of the swoopy sedan. It was first shown at the 2005 Beijing Auto Show as the Vision in a more conservative dark red paintjob, sporting a Nissan-esque grille. Photos after the jump.

Beijing Auto Show: DongFeng D120

Chinese carmaker DongFeng introduced its D120 sports car at the Beijing show Saturday. The two-door apparently was created by mating a Solstice with a streeted-up Tiburon and has a 137-hp, 2.4-liter engine. The rear wing's height is adjustable, apparently by way of an old-fashioned bellows-type device, or else the D120 has a built in accordian underneath its rear hatch.
