When Audi announced its 2009 motorsports plans at the Essen Motor Show in Germany last week, one aspect was left out, the American Le Mans Series program. The debut of the new R15 TDI that will replace the three-year-old R10 will happen at the 12 Hours of Sebring in March. Ever since the debut of the Audi R10 in 2006, the mighty diesel-powered sports cars have been running on a gas-to-liquid (GTL) diesel fuel supplied by Shell.
