Koenigsegg is celebrating its 20th birthday this year, and for the occasion, the Swedish specialists are taking the hypercar to the next level with its new Agera One:1 at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. In fact, it claims that, because it is the first production car with a one megawatt of power (1,341 horsepower), and a power-to-weight ratio of one-to-one (kilogram to horsepower), it goes beyond super or hyper and is actually the "world's first megacar."

Koenigsegg Agera One:1 ultra, super hypercar previewed ahead of Geneva

We told you about the bonkers Koenigsegg Agera One:1 hypercar back in October. Its name gives away its special power: a 1:1 horsepower-to-kilogram ratio. In other words, every single one of its 1,400 horsepower will have only 1 kilogram (2.2 pounds) to move. Today, the first rendering of what the Agera One:1 will look like – complete with a rear wing of otherworldly size – appeared in a feature about the automaker published by The Wall Street Journal.

Koenigsegg planning hypercar with one horsepower per kilo [UPDATE]

If this seems crazy (and awesome), that's because it is. According to Bloomberg Businessweek, Koenigsegg is planning a car called the One:1 – as in, one horsepower per pound kilogram. Head honcho Christian von Koenigsegg describes this new hypercar as a "money-is-no-object venture" for a dealer in China.
