The long wait for the 2019 BMW 8 Series is very nearly over. BMW announced that the car will be unveiled on June 15, the day before the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The reason for this date is that this will be first Le Mans endurance race the company has participated in since 2011, and its entry is the 850 GTE race car that has preceded the road car. The team in Munich has been teasing the new BMW 8 Series for a while now. We've seen images, videos and full concepts of the BMW 6 Series successor. While official images are always welcome, spy shots tend to capture a little more. This new batch of both the 8 Series coupe and convertible shows production-spec bodywork as well as a very, very brief glimpse of the car's interior.
It looks like a four-door version of the M8 GTE Le Mans racer.
