Honda has partnered up with Apple to bring Siri to the Accord, Acura RDX and ILX. Owners who have an iPhone running iOS 6 will be able to ask the software to perform a number of tasks via voice command using the vehicle's on board microphone and speaker systems. What's more, the tech will put the iPhone into an "eyes free" mode, which turns the screen off to help reduce distraction while driving. Honda says it has reworked its Bluetooth and HandsFreeLink systems to accommodate the Siri functiona

The revised 2013 Acura RDX has found at least one happy customer, and it's an important one: Consumer Reports. The editors at CR gave the RDX crossover their top rating of "Recommended" after Acura ditched the turbocharged four-cylinder that had served as the RDX's sole powerplant since its launch in 2006.

The IIHS Top Safety Pick list is already quite long, but it keeps growing, with five more vehicles added this month alone. The latest pair are the 2012 BMW 3 Series sedan and the 2013 Acura RDX. The BMW needs no introduction, as the new F30 chassis has already earned its right to sit alongside previous generations of the well-loved sport sedan, while the RDX is a refreshed version of the midsize Acura crossover.

The RDX is new for the 2013 model year, so it makes sense that Acura would jump start the vehicle's launch with a new ad campaign. Honda's luxury arm went with the "Gulliver's Travels" theme, which of course demonstrates that the refreshed crossover is big and luxurious, yet not too big. Get it? Gulliver is a giant and yet the RDX is big enough for him... moving on.

Acura has struggled lately, but Honda's luxury arm is looking to win back some buyers starting with the 2013 RDX. The luxury crossover has now officially started production at the automaker's East Liberty plant in Ohio, and the facility will be building versions of the RDX for both domestic and export sale.

The redesigned 2013 Acura RDX is headed to dealers this spring, and when it arrives, it will carry a base manufacturer's suggested retail price of $34,320, plus a destination fee of $885. As you may recall, the new RDX has abandoned the turbocharged four-cylinder engine of the outgoing model in favor of a V6 engine with 33 more horsepower. A new six-speed automatic transmission is part of the package as well, and buyers may opt for all-wheel drive for an additional $1,400. Acura is also offering

More room, more power, more fuel efficiency and more advanced all-wheel drive are the four unique selling propositions for the 2013 Acura RDX. As with the 2013 ILX, the productionized version of Acura's people-hauler is very, very similar to the RDX Concept from Detroit with a new set of wheels and a new paint job.

Acura is calling what you see here a "prototype," but that's only technically speaking. It is, in fact, the production 2013 RDX crossover, and it's just debuted at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show. This is a full redesign of Acura's plucky, performance-minded crossover, making it the vehicle's second generation model.

Honda seems to believe that America's car-buying slump is coming to a close. According to Automotive News, the automaker has announced that it will spend $84 million to grow engine and light truck production at its Lincoln, Alabama assembly plant. The money will be used to help create an additional 100 jobs and should see the facility increase its total output from 300,000 units per year to 340,000 in anticipation of a sales recovery in the States. Automotive News suggests that may be a smart mo
