The Audi electric SUV coupe is coming.
It's unmistakably an Audi.
Orders for the electric crossover start Sept. 17 with a $1,000 deposit.

It's a supercar with technology inspired by the Le Mans-winning R18 E-Tron.
It offers the ability to zoom in and out and move the cameras.
The move means Audi will likely be beat to punch by rival Mercedes.

Audi will reveal the production E-Tron Quattro on Aug. 30 in Brussels, Belgium, at the company's second annual Audi Summit. The timing has all to do with the fact that Audi's Brussels manufacturing center begins building the SUV that month. Belgian auto unions have said the plan is to build 4,700 E-Tron SUVs this year, to begin satisfying the thousands of reservations Audi's already taken from across Europe for the full-electric crossover that will slot between the Q5 and the Q7. For some time, Audi has teased the e-tron Vision Gran Turismo concept car's silhouette. Today, the e-tron Vision Gran Turismo was unveiled as an actual, functioning vehicle, and it will be used as a "race taxi" at Formula E events.
Audi expects a difficult year as the launch of over 20 redesigned and new models could hurt deliveries, after declining sales of high-end models and further costs from an emissions scandal kept profitability below that of Mercedes-Benz and BMW.
Audi has announced it will introduce a full-electric four-door GT model in 2020. As Audi outlined its electrified future in a press conference, the German manufacturer mentioned its electric lineup will include special "Audi Sport" performance models. One of the 20 electrified models introduced by 2025 will be an E-Tron GT version that will be produced alongside the E-Tron crossover we've seen up to now.
The E-Tron is a fully functional prototype.
