Tomorrow night in Manhattan, Nissan will officially drop the top on the new 370Z Roadster, but before then, a teaser site is up with a singular image of the convertible Z for the world to see. A webcast of the event will take place tomorrow at 7 PM EST, where the 370Z Roadster will be shown alongside the NISMO variant of the new Z car.

We have been following Top Gear America's Project Sipster for a while. The team's project was to install a modern ciesel engine from a VW Jetta TDI into a 28-year-old VW Golf and make the car go from 0 to 60 mph in less than 7 seconds but also able to achieve 70 mpg. Oh, and do it for less than $7,000. The team is done, and they're happy to report that Project Sipster's mission was accomplished

Reports that the editor-in-chief of Top Gear, Michael Harvey, is stepping down from his post have now been confirmed. Sort of. According to correspondence received from Harvey and the BBC by our El Camino-lovin' compatriots over at Jalopnik, Harvey will be resigning as editor-in-chief in favor of a more flexible position as Editorial Consultant and an as-yet undisclosed new part-time position on this side of the Atlantic.
