We had both a XF Sportbrake S and a V90 T6 AWD R-Design come through the office recently, and since they're really close competitors – both fairly large wagons, both luxury vehicles, both have sporting pretenses, and both feature all-wheel-drive. And in the case of our test cars, they're equipped very similarly. They do get to that price in different ways, though.

Following initial reports that Jaguar wasn't interested in building any more wagons, design chief Ian Callum indicates that a new XF Sportbrake could yet be in the works.
As if Jaguar needed to wow us further with beautiful design, Ian Callum has gone and commissioned a 20-foot watercraft as slick as the company's new F-Type sports car and far more unattainable.

The miracle of the internet has given us our first glimpse at the upcoming Jaguar XF Sportbrake. The Jaguar wagon is set to debut at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, but a few very convincing photos lifted from what appears to be a brochure have leaked in advance.
It likely comes as no shock to hear we're all sorts of excited about the prospect of a Jaguar XF Sportbrake. Even though we know the model may never show up on our shores, we're happier in a world in which a machine like this exists. It was confirmed over the summer that Jaguar was working on an XF wagon, and now the spy photogs at KGP have caught it testing. We've been told it's called the XF Sportbrake, and it's hard to pin down the exact lines in back with those bulging light units, but it should make itself right at home in the handsome XF line.
