When Chevy introduced the RST trim level on the Tahoe and Suburban full-size SUVs, the Suburban was a little left-out when it came to the good stuff. Specifically, it wasn't available with the 6.2-liter V8 that could be added to the Tahoe RST. But that's been fixed this year with the 2019 Chevy Suburban RST Performance Package.

A buffeting and vibration problem for some owners of GM's fullsize SUVs can be bad enough to make folks dizzy and give them headaches.

Recalls

GM is recalling 3,300 examples of the Chevy Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, and GMC Sierra due to a newly discovered flaw with their ignition switches. The company caught the issue early, and there have been no reports of injuries or crashes.

The plant that produces GM's full-size SUVs in Arlington, TX, is set to receive $1.4 billion, representing the largest allocation out of the $5.4 billion the company has earmarked towards upgrading its facilities.

General Motors is recalling 83,572 SUVs from the 2011 and 2012 model years over a potential ignition lock actuator issue. The pool of affected vehicles could also include SUVs from 2007-2014 that have already been repaired, but with defective parts.

Is your vehicle under recall?

It seems General Motors can't go more than a few weeks without issuing a major recall. Since the initial ignition lock recall on February 10, over 25 million vehicles have been recalled for defects.

General Motors has issued a stop-sale to dealers and has notified the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration of its intention to recall 117,000 vehicles in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Of those vehicles, only 4,500 are at dealerships.

As part of the State Fair of Texas festivities, Chevrolet has announced a couple of new models that will surely be hits with buyers in the Lone Star State. Both the Tahoe and Suburban SUVs can now be ordered in rugged Z71 guise (pictured above), and Chevy has also outfitted its duo in swanky new Texas Edition trim (as seen on the 'Burb at right).

After what we're guessing was an unintentional leak via a press photo, Chevrolet has confirmed that it will be offering its long-lived Z71 trim on both the 2015 Tahoe and Suburban.
