When a report came out earlier this week regarding Fiat's intentions for Chrysler (making it a Cadillac competitor), Dodge (focusing on driving dynamics) and Jeep (being, well, Jeep), one semi-iconic nameplate was left out of the discussion: Ram.

Tata confirms closing of Jaguar or Land Rover plant

When the economy gets dinged, luxury vehicles gets massive dents. Jaguar and Land Rover haven't been the most profitable aut for a while, and parent company Tata is studying which of two plants it would shut to try and stem some of the losses; Solihull or Castle Bromwich.

FYI: UAW releases list of 2010 cars and trucks made in union shops

It lists all of the vehicles made in America and Canada by union labor -- either UAW or CAW.

Buckeye Bullet 2 claims land speed record for fuel cell vehicles, 300.992 mph

We first heard about the Buckeye Bullet 2 about two years ago when we covering the Ford Fusion 999 land speed record project. The student engineering team from Ohio State University was collaborating with engineers from Ford and the two teams shared data on improving performance of the fuel cell and electric motor system. While Ford finished the Fusion program after setting a 207 mph record, the OSU team has soldiered on.
