The website Final Gear is one of the premiere fan sites for Top Gear on the Internet. For over a decade, it has been providing followers of the show and its spinoffs with BitTorrent links for the episodes and gave people a place to discuss all things related. However, the site was hobbled on July 17 by a Digital Millennium Copyright Act Takedown notice that forced it to remove all of its links to the series.
We're set to record Autoblog Podcast #358 tonight, and we'll cover the sights we're anticipating at the Los Angeles Auto Show and Tokyo Motor Show. Plus, Adam Ferrara, Tanner Foust and Rutledge Wood of Top Gear on the History Channel took time out to chat with us, too. You can download the podcast to hear those interviews, and in the meantime, check out the topics below, drop us your questions and comments via our Q&A module, and don't forget to subscribe to the Autoblog Podcast in iTunes if
In Filmspeed, the latest ad spot for Forza Motorsport 5, what at first seems like a video aided by computer-generated graphics suddenly becomes much cooler when you realize that it was shot with a high-speed video camera on a racetrack - with no help from computer generation - making it the "world's fastest zoetrope," as Rutledge Wood of Top Gear USA fame puts it. A McLaren MP4-12C acts as the camera car with Tanner Foust (also of Top Gear USA fame) at the wheel, and the camera's subject is a se
Racer and Top Gear USA host Tanner Foust has partnered up with Cobb Tuning to create a special-edition Ford Focus ST. The limited-edition hatches will come packing a reflashed ECU, special intercooler, tweaked intake and freer-flowing exhaust for up to 20 percent more power than the stock creation. Cobb says that the changes should push the final dyno figure to above 300 horsepower. Buyers can also expect to find special carbon fiber aerodynamic bits on board along with a new grille, graphics an
The Stig makes his return to Top Gear USA on the History Channel tonight, though it looks like the circumstances could be better. The upside is that Rutledge Wood, Adam Ferrara and Tanner Foust appear to have built themselves a Road-Warrior-iffic late-1990s Toyota Camry complete with an electric fence. The Stig chases down his prey with, naturally, a Panther. Seems appropriate.

While it still hasn't earned the cult-like following of the original Top Gear (currently aired on the BBC), our own Top Gear USA is getting better and better with each subsequent episode. Rutledge Wood, Adam Ferrara and Tanner Foust are developing much-needed chemistry and the show is entertaining (even if you aren't a car guy).
Host Adam Ferrara has confirmed Top Gear USA will be back for a third season. The comedian-turned television personality broke the news during an event in New York City last night, according to Inside Line. The show is slowly gaining momentum in the U.S., and this season saw its best ratings yet. One episode drew an impressive 2.1 million viewers. Of course, that's a small figure compared to the legions who tune in or download the original "Top Gear," but with the U.S. hosts getting more comfort

Top Gear fans in the UK are about to get more than they bargained for. The BBC has announced that Top Gear USA is headed across the pond. Season one of the Americanized version of the world's favorite car show is set to debut on BBC Three on October 14.
America's very own version of Top Gear is set to hit airwaves for its second season. A new round of hijinks on the History Channel begins July 24. Seeing as the Top Gear Test Track sits just 15 minutes from your author's house, we thought it might be nice to pop in and pay the guys a visit. We wound up getting more than we bargained for, however, because The Stig was also on set... armed with the keys to a Lotus Evora S.
The Fourth of July is right around the corner, which means fireworks, alcohol-fueled patriotism and dogs hiding under beds. July also holds another day on the calender that's cause for celebration, at least for fans of U.S. Top Gear. Tanner Foust, Adam Ferrara and Rutledge Wood are back for season two, which premieres July 24 at 10pm EST on the History Channel.
Rutledge Wood, part of the Top Gear trio here in the States that went out to find the best car from GM's recent past, (wisely) picked a Buick Roadmaster as his steed. He then used the wagon to wind up victorious over the choices of his co-hosts. Now, Rutledge has shown that he truly cares about the LT1-powered five-door, as he just purchased a 1996 example to put in his own driveway.
In an effort to gain some viewership, Top Gear America has teamed up with NASCAR to rename the May 28 Nationwide Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway the Top Gear 300. To tease season two of the American spinoff of the so-far superior English car show, clips from Top Gear America will be broadcast during the race.
