BMW Motorrad released the S 1000 RR superbike in 2010, but for those who'd like to take it down a (small) notch, the German motorcycle maker introduced the 2014 S 1000 R, a slightly less-ballsy version of the range-topping superbike, at EICMA on Tuesday.
If there is any car on the road you might consider essentially a four-wheeled motorcycle, surely it's the Caterham Seven. So it hardly seems much of a stretch that the British automaker that forged its reputation building Lotus continuation cars would branch into motorcycles. And that's precisely what it has announced today.
Ducati has unveiled the third generation of its naked (read: fairing-less) motorcycles, comprised of the Monster 1200 and 1200 S, at the press conference ahead of the 71st International Motorcycle Exhibition (EICMA) in Milan, which starts tomorrow.
CRP Racing first revealed its Energica electric superbike concept at the epic 2011 edition of EICMA. Now, a year later, a prototype version is on display at that same venue with promises of a finished product in 2014 with sales in both the US and Europe. It should be worth the wait.
Behold the KTM 1290 Super Duke R Prototype in all its glory. The Austrian motorcycle manufacturer showed off its newest concept at the 2012 EICMA International Motorcycle Show, and it boasts an extra 100cc of displacement over the LC8 mill in the 1190 RC8 R on which the prototype is based. That means there's a full 180 horsepower on hand to kick you down the track, and given the impressive efforts at weight saving engineers implemented on the concept, something tells us the sprint to 60 mph will
From the adorable Vespa 946 to the brawny Moto Guzzi California 1400 and the go-anywhere Aprilia Caponord 1200, the Piaggio Group came to the 2012 EICMA International Motorcycle Show armed with an array of hardware. When it comes to that plucky Vespa 946, engineers approached the bike with an eye toward incorporating modern technology and efficiencies to a classic design. BMW is set to honor its long and storied motorcycle history with a new model next year. Only it's not what you think. Acura won't be rolling out a new performance hatch anytime soon. The vehicle is effectively an overgrown scooter with a 670 cc engine and an optional dual-clutch gearbox. Honda says the vehicle is meant to meld the motorcycle and scooter worlds with plenty of performance, great fuel economy and superior accessibility thanks to its feet-forward riding po
Ducati holds a special place in the superbike world of melt-your-retinas speed, and the introduction of the company's new 1199 Panigale ensures that the Italian manufacturer won't be giving up that spot any time soon. In addition to shedding 22 pounds from the curb weight of the 1198, the new Panigale cranks out 20 more horsepower than the old machine, as well. The Superquadro twin-cylinder engine generates 195 horsepower, which should be enough to propel the 361-pound machine to well past the b

What sort of hardware will it bring to the figh
