2015 saw updates across this automaker's vehicle line. I'm Eddie Sabatini and this is your Autoblog Minute year in review for Nissan.

Both Nissan and Infiniti have vehicle updates to report on this year.

Nissan introduced the new 2016 Nissan Titan XD. The XD is a truck that falls between the heavy duty and full size segments. For nissan the XD trim adds more towing capability than a standard Titan, as well as, 20 inches in length. The Titan XD will be available with a 5-L V8 diesel engine from Cummins.

In midsize sedan news, the Nissan Altima is new for 2016. There's a new SR trim level but perhaps the biggest change is the fuel economy. The 2.5-L variant achieves a reported 39 MPG (27 city) thanks to active grille shutters, lowered engine friction and a higher compression ration in the 2.5-L engine model.

The Infiniti Q30 debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The small hatchback will has a variety of powertrain options available in markets outside of the US, where the only option is a 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder with 208 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque.

The QX30 is Infiniti's new compact crossover. It joins the Q30 as the automaker's entry level options, going after younger consumers. The Infiniti QX30 will go on sale in select markets in the middle of 2016.

And those are highlights from Nissan's year in review. For Autoblog, I'm Eddie Sabatini.
