Honda, the world's greenest automaker, starts producing solar panels

You have to give credit to Honda. They really seem to take their role as the greenest automaker seriously. Let's run down a few points: their fleet post the highest combined average fuel mileage in America, instead of selling advertising rights for their high-profile F1 race cars they put a big earth picture on them, they make all the ethanol powered Indy Car engines... and now they make solar panels. At this point, they are not installing said solar panels on their vehicles - nor do I expect them to. The solar cells are only being sold for homes and businesses. The endeavor is an attempt "to further accelerate [their] efforts to reduce the threat of global warming," according to this post on Inside Line. The automaker has created a subsidiary called Soltec for the creation of the cells.
