Being billed at the "greenest" car show on the planet, the Sexy Green Car Show is coming to the Eden Project in Cornwall with a bevy of biofuel, EV and hybrid vehicles. The event is sponsored by Co-operative Insurance (CIS) and will feature Saab's 9300 biopower convertible and 9300 biopower cutaway (and maybe the Aero X E100 concept coupe, seen above), Vauxhall's Zafira and Corsa models, Ford's new Focus flexi-fuel convertible, a formula race car that runs on ethanol and a Model T, Mercedes' Smart EV, two Lexus hybrids, the 3.8 executive saloon and the RX400h and your classic Toyota Prius. Lastly, visitors can check out the D1 Oils 24-hour Le Mans race car that runs on biodiesel made from jatropha trees. The show runs from March 30 to April 15, 2007.
The Eden Project has the biggest greenhouses on earth - the Rainforest Biome and Mediterranean Biome - and these eco-cars will be "bedded in" these buildings. In 2005, the Live 8 Africa Calling event was broadcast from there. CIS rolled out a discount for green drivers last year.
