75How the US market will help Alfa triple sales in three years

Automotive News Europe reports Alfa Romeo has a plan to triple its global sales by 2016, meaning the automaker will need to increase its sales to around 300,000 units in less than three years. Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne has set the ambitious targets for the brand, but Alfa Romeo head Louis-Carl Vignon believes the numbers are realistic, thanks in no small part to the fact that the company is headed to the US market. Right now, Alfa Romeo relies on selling its old MiTo and Giullietta in Europe &n

60Alfa Romeo teases 4C, confirms 2013 arrival

Any time you open up your promotion for a new vehicle with the claim of a "car to end all cars," you better have the goods to back it up. If any automaker has said goods, it is Alfa Romeo. 33Alfa Romeo's U.S. rebirth delayed. Again.

Alfa Romeo has been threatening to re-enter the North American market for a while now, and the latest word, via Automotive News, is that Alfa has whiplashed back to being off again, for now. Then there's that thing about Volkswagen maybe buying Alfa from parent Fiat, though that's also likely on hold until the voracious German gets its latest acquisitions settled in. Fiat has repeatedly denied that Alfa is for sale.

20Alfa Romeo 4C to spawn convertible version

Autocar reports that Alfa Romeo may be mulling the creation of a convertible version of the upcoming 4C Coupe. The Italian automaker has already made it clear that the hardtop will bow as a mid-engine bruiser with a 0-60 sprint of around 4.5 seconds. Alfa hopes the 4C will give potential Porsche 911 buyers something else to consider when it comes time to plunk down cash on a new sports car. Keeping weight down is the first priority in the car's development, and engineers are aiming for a curb we

The Series XI coupe that could easily be mistaken for a Bugatti of the same era was initially shown at the Paris Auto Salon in 1933 and has gone on to appear at numerous concours around the world.
