Sometimes being an animal lover can get you into serious trouble, especially if you're not thinking of your fellow man. In 2010, Emma Czornobaj stopped her car in the left lane of a Canadian highway south of Montreal to rescue a group of ducklings. However, a motorcyclist riding with his daughter as a passenger crashed into the back of Czornobaj's car while it was stopped, killing them both.

Having children must instill in parents a certain sense of naïveté (this is, after all, coming from someone without children). It must be incomprehensible that this tiny human, which you raised and sacrificed for, would be anything other than good, and right and just. They would never bully another child, or mouth off to a teacher. They'd never get caught smoking or cutting class, or smoking while cutting class. Alternate titles for this story could have been "American drivers growing stupider," "Number of boneheads on the road increases," "Natural selection having greater influence on American drivers." We don't mean to make light of the latest study from the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, but it's so darn disturbing that we aren't really sure what else to do.

Nobody likes getting nabbed for a speeding ticket, or running a red-light by a police officer. And it is especially galling having your mistake picked up by a red-light or speeding camera. But here is a case when it's hard to complain about the work of camera alerting the public to especially dangerous drivers.

Is the driver of this Ford Ranger driving under the influence? From the looks of this four-minute-long video where he or she pinballs repeatedly between ditch and center line and narrowly misses oncoming traffic, it certainly looks like the wheelman is soggy drunk.
