Deadly truck explosion at maternity hospital in Mexico blamed on natural gas leak

An explosion in Mexico City has caused at least seven deaths and 54 injuries, four of which were children, after a truck carrying natural gas sprung a leak while refilling empty tanks at a maternity hospital. Many more a presumed trapped in the rubble.

Rescuers have reportedly been hampered by a lack of ambulances to transport injured to other nearby hospitals, according to CNN. Armed forces have reportedly arrived at the scene to aid in the rescue work and to keep civilians away from the area.
