Sometimes we get a teaser image and accompanying statement where we can at least surmise what the automaker is up to. This is not one of those times.

The automaker, in this case, is Infiniti, and the teaser image shows only a grille with a similar shape to what you'd find on most of the company's products, albeit with a curvier mesh. Which isn't much to go on, really, and the accompanying statement (which you can read below in its forty-word entirety) doesn't give us much more. All it says is that the vehicle in question – which we'll wager is a concept car instead of a production debut – has "style and substance" embodied in a "vision... on a scale not seen before" from Infiniti.

Given the French peppered into the release and the encroaching chronological proximity of the Paris Motor Show, we'd guess that's where Infiniti will reveal this latest but of inspiration, but just what form it will take is still a mystery.

I'm betting 100% this is the Q30 or QX30, as Infiniti hasn't made something on that small of a "scale" before.

It has to be infiniti's leaf.......solid grille

You guys do know that the Q60 (G37 Coupe) is slated for a new design in 2015, right? And if that's a solid grille (maybe), then something purely electric. Either way, let's see some educated speculation from Automotive Journalists, please.

Why is AB mum on speculating about what this concept is all about, yet they have no problem spewing misleading BS about the timeframe that production cars will debut in their spy reports?

Infiniti isn't doing itself any favors after the name change debacle... At least when BMW did it a slew of new cars came along with it.they could've at least wanted till the next models to start the renaming process. They created all that fuss, and didn't deliver not one new car in the process. A missed opportunity is an understatement......all this q crap, and the one car that actually is a nowhere to be found which is stupidity at it's finest

Trust me its not electric neither is it small. Its a hybrid though 550hp and a four door coupe with a 700hp option.

Whatever it is, I guarantee it has that infernal steer-by-wire system.

Closed grille = EV.  Prolly leaf based electric car.

More rolling road rabies.   Infiniti has gone from understated to tacky.   They should merge with Cadihack and they could tastless and tacky.

in the time that lexus has introduced at least 3 different performance vehicles that you can go to a dealership and purchase right now, infiniti is still issuning press releases...

      what an embarrassment.

you do know the nissan GTR is actual an infiniti carrying a nissan name. Infinti is known in europe and the usa , nissan is known in Japan, that is where the GTR spring from. No one knows it as an infiniti, so it would hard to place an infinti name on it for a global market and japan, so nissan just drop off the skyline part and called it nissan GTR.

The nissan Z or the fair lady is the nissan performance car.

Not sure why so many people are posting that this is a solid grill. My guess is Infiniti is trying to distance themselves from Lexus in that both came out with somewhat similar grill shapes, with Lexus being way more extreme. (I actually prefer the Infiniti shape over what Lexus did.) The real story here is the "scale not seen" comment. So they are either doing something very small or very big.
