A phenomenal driver that inspires confidence in every corner with its responsive engine and balanced communicative chassis. It's even quite livable on a daily basis. We'd recommend lower trim models, since the high-end GTS starts getting too expensive for its own good.

The 718 Boxster is a Porsche's entry-level mid-engine convertible. It encompasses Porsche's unique styling and performance in the sports coupe segment. The 718 Boxster comes in two trim choices; the Boxster and Boxster S. For the first time, the Boxster recieves and all-new powerplant based on a four-cylinder turbocharger engine. The base Boxster is offered with 2.0-liter horizontal turbocharged four-cylinder that puts out 300-hp. The Boxster S utilizes a 2.5-liter horizontal turbocharged four-cylinder with an output of 350-hp. Both engines are mated to a six-speed manual transmission or the optional PDK double-clutch transmission. Both models come standard with driver selectable ride control, adaptive sport suspension, fully automatic HID headlights with LED daytime running lights, sport seats and steering wheel wrapped in leather, front and rear parking sensors, and eight airbags. Optional features include a Burmester High-End Surround Sound System, Navigation, voice control, and adaptive cruise control. The 718 Boxster remains unchanged for 2018.
