The GMC Yukon XL gives customers the versatility and spaciousness they need when shopping for a vehicle with the towing and cargo carrying capabilities to meet their lifestyle requirements. Available in 2WD or 4WD and in three trims (SLE, SLT and the Denali), the Yukon XL seats up to nine passengers and is rated to tow up to 8300 pounds when equipped with the Heavy-Duty Trailering Package on the 4x2 model. The SLE and SLT trims both come with a 355-hp 5.3-liter V8 engine coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission. The Denali trims come with a 420-hp 6.2-liter V8 paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Both engines use cylinder deactivation, direct injection and continuously variable valve timing to maximize power and efficiency. Safety features standard on all models include four-wheel anti-lock brakes, StabiliTrak stability control system with rollover mitigation, seven airbags, including a new center mounted front airbag, tire pressure monitoring system, rear vision camera, and OnStar with Automatic Crash Response, Turn-by-Turn Navigation and Stolen Vehicle Assistance. For 2017, there are two exterior color changes. Teen Driver mode is available, as well as an upgraded rear seat entertainment system incorporating a new video voiceover feature beneficial to the visually and hearing impaired. Front active aero shutters are now standard on all trims and helps with the aerodynamics of the vehicle and WiFi now allows for a smart device screen to be projected on the vehicle screens. A Heads-Up Display is now standard on the Denali.
