With the recent unveiling of the 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 at the Detroit Auto Show, we knew the HD models wouldn't be too far behind. Sure enough, just a couple of weeks after NAIAS, our spy photographers caught camouflages prototypes of the 2020 Silverado HD pickups out testing in the snow. One is a standard HD Crew Cab, while the other is a Crew Cab 3500 Dually.

The front is shrouded, but we can still make out the LED lighting and a gigantic grille to give this an imposing presence in your rear-view mirror. What we can't see under the camo are — we expect — aerodynamic air curtains up front, and the Chevrolet name stamped into the sheet metal of the truck's tailgate.

Now that these are out in the wild, we can hope to gain further insights as development and testing continues. We'll keep you posted.
