The Morgan EV3 is set to begin production later this year. The three-wheeled car/motorcycle is the first electric vehicle from Morgan. While adults are sure to enjoy the EV3's 1,100 lb curb weight and 7 second 0-60 mph time, the British automaker has something in store for younger and aspiring Morgan owners: the new EV3 Junior.
The EV3 Junior looks almost identical to the standard model that debuted at the Geneva Motor Show. Lest you think this is some overpriced Power Wheels, the EV3 Junior is hand-built and features carbon-fiber bodywork, a wooden dashboard and hand-stitched leather on the interior. There are three standard colors — Sport Red, Sport Green or Sport Ivory — and 40,000 optional colors.
It has a top speed of 10 mph (both forward and in reverse) and has a range of about 10 miles. The battery can be fully charged in just 4 hours. At today's rates, the Junior runs about $9,200 in the U.K.. The EV3 Junior can be purchased online or from either a Morgan dealer or the company's factory in Malvern Link, U.K..
