When it comes to automakers selling new cars at charity auctions, they usually offer the very first example of a model. Not this time, though. On January 20 at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Ford will sell the very last 2017 F-150 Raptor it builds. Of course this surely won't be the last F-150 Raptor of all time, but it will still be an interesting bragging point at your local Cars and Coffee meet.

Not only will this 2017 Raptor be the last of its model year, but it will feature a "one of one" paint job selected by its eventual owner. Hopefully the owner gets creative with his or her choice. After all, it would be a shape to have the freedom of any color available, and then choose basic, gloss black. The truck will also benefit more than just its new owner. All of the proceeds from the Raptor's sale will go to benefit JDRF, a charity that provides funding for type 1 diabetes research.

Capping off the auction of this truck, Ford announced that it will provide a free one-day off-road driving course at its Utah driving facility to buyers of all 2017 Raptors. The courses start this April. It's also worth noting that, although the course itself is free, Raptor owners will have to pay for travel and lodging.
