Futuristic Tech of the GM Technical Center | Translogic 206

Virtual design, space robots, and cyborg strength on this episode of Translogic

General Motors has a long history of being one of the most prolific car manufacturers in the world. Unsurprisingly, you don't become one of the biggest companies of all time without keeping an eye on the trends of the future.

On this Translogic, host Jonathon Buckley takes a walk-through of the GM Technical Center and gets to see awesome technology like the virtual reality cave, the humanoid robot named Robonaut 2, and the strength-increasing Roboglove.

Clearly, these technologies go beyond the roadway. GM has even been working with NASA to put their joint robotic project, R2, in outer space! "NASA had the opportunity to send one of these robots to the International Space Station and they did so back in 2011," said Marty Linn, the principal robotics engineer for GM.

Although many of these technologies seem like they come straight from the future, they all exist right now. In the space-faring R2's case, it's already being put to work. Join us as we learn more about all of this exciting tech on this Translogic.
