Man being dragged by pickup calls 911

We're not exactly sure what to say about this video, other than to point out yet again that the world can be a messed-up place to live. A man walking in the parking lot of what we think is Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, was hit by another motorist in a white truck. We can't say whether it was on purpose or malicious... until the driver seemingly chose not to stop and make sure the man he hit was uninjured.

But wait, it gets worse.

The driver of the truck fled from the scene with the man attached to the truck bed. We're not entirely sure how the victim was attached – possibly by clothing caught between the bodywork – but he apparently had enough freedom of movement that he could take out his cell phone and call 911.

The driver of the truck was arrested for a litany of crimes, and the victim managed to escape with nothing more than cuts and bruises. Oh, and a great story to tell his grandkids. See security footage of the event in the news video below.
