David Letterman drives Focus Electric with Ford CEO

There was a whole lot of nothing new on David Letterman the other night when Ford CEO Alan Mulally appeared on CBS' Late Show with David Letterman along with the upcoming Focus Electric. Well, it was nothing new if you're a regular AutoblogGreen reader – Mually didn't say when, exactly, the car would be released or how much it would cost – but if you're someone who still doesn't know if the standard Toyota Prius plugs in or not, then this might have been the first time you saw a real EV, with Letterman's antics to go along with it. After hopping into the car, it only takes Dave about a dozen tries to get his hired ladyfriends to hop in the back seat; an awkward bit you can see in the video after the jump.

This isn't Dave's first time to promote plug-in vehicles on his show. In two different shows in 2009, Bob Lutz showed off the pre-production Chevy Volt and Elon Musk stopped by with a Model S. The cars are different, but it's the same Dave in all three clips.
