2013 Passat Overview

The new Mazda CX-5 crossover offers seating for five people. With adaptive cargo space and a comprehensive set of standard safety features, the CX-5 is a safe, practical, sport inspired vehicle to Zoom-Zoom around in.It is available in three trims, Sport, Touring, and Grand Touring. All are powered by a 2.0-litre 155-hp, direct injection, SKYACTIV four-cylinder engine. The FWD Sport is standard with a six-speed manual, while all other trims have a six-speed automatic transmission. Standard safety features include four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist and hill launch assist, electronic stability and traction control, and tire pressure monitoring. Available features, depending on trim level, include 19-inch wheels, HD radio, a nine-speaker Bose audio system, rear camera, 5.8-inch color touchscreen, blind spot monitoring system, a power moonroof, fog lights, 40-20-40 split rear seats, power heated leather seats, automatic climate control, and the convenience of Bluetooth.The CX-5 is a brand new vehicle for 2013.The Passat is the largest passenger car in the Volkswagen line-up. It has all the refinements and technology expected of a sophisticated German vehicle, but is now built in the USA specifically for the North American driver.The Passat is offered as a front-wheel drive four-door sedan with three engine choices; a 170-hp, 2.5-liter inline five-cylinder, a 140-hp, 2.0-liter TDI diesel four-cylinder, and a 280-hp 3.6-liter VR6. Numerous transmissions are available, a five-speed manual or six-speed automatic with the 2.5L, a six-speed manual or six-speed DSG with the TDI, and a six-speed DSG is standard with the VR6. Standard safety features include six airbags, four-wheel-disc anti-lock brakes, electronic stability control, tire pressure monitoring, engine immobilizer and an intelligent crash response system that unlocks all doors, shuts off fuel and electrical supply and turns on the hazard lights. Standard creature comfort features include front and rear center armrests, trip computer, keyless entry, automatic headlights with coming home function, cruise control and Bluetooth phone connectivity.For 2013, the Passat gains rear center console air vents (SE, SEL, SEL Premium) and Climatronic air conditioning is only available on SEL 2.5 and SEL Premium trims. A Wolfsburg Edition will be available starting mid-2013.
