Jeffrey N. Ross has spent most of his life in, around and under cars, from a childhood filled with Matchbox cars to bloodied knuckles as an ASE-certified mechanic and, since 2006, as an automotive journalist. Some of his car-related highlights include learning how to shift a manual transmission on a first-generation Bronco, driving his '77 Trans Am in the Inaugural Woodward Dream Cruise and tackling tracks such as Homestead-Miami Speedway and Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. He has written for sites such as Autotroplis.com and Autobytel.com, and he joined the Autoblog team in August 2012.
