Chevy announces new Z71 package for Tahoe and Suburban

After what we're guessing was an unintentional leak via a press photo, Chevrolet has confirmed that it will be offering its long-lived Z71 trim on both the 2015 Tahoe and Suburban.

The company wouldn't offer any additional details on what the packages would add to the full-size, body-on-frame SUVs, instead indicating that a more formal announcement that would be made in late September.

The Z71 trim is currently offered on the Silverado pickup, and adds, among other things, an uprated, off-road suspension, a locking rear-differential, all-terrain tires and a unique appearance package.

Along with the Z71 pack, 2015 Tahoe and Suburban owners can look forward to a hands-free liftgate and 4G LTE wireless connectivity through Chevrolet's MyLink system.
