Watch a traffic stop turn into a marriage proposal

For many people being pulled over by the police is among the most stressful situations possible and would be one of the worst times for a marriage proposal. But that was exactly what Matt Van Vliet did to his girlfriend, Samantha Labo.

In college, Labo and Van Vliet were arrested during a police raid at a party with suspected underage drinking. They both passed the breathalyzer test and met while waiting to get picked up. When they were back at college for a reunion, Van Vliet thought it would be a perfect time to propose. He went to the policeman who arrested them and asked if he would do it again. We applaud his sense of irony.
