What do you do if you have enough money to buy a Lexus LFA but can't get the car safely to your house? Get local government involved, of course. Rune Berge Vik, of Stavanger, Norway, did just that after he bought a Lexus LFA (the only LFA in the Nordic region according to tv2.no) last year only to find out that it could not clear a speed bump in his neighborhood.

To remedy the situation, Vik got in touch with his city, which had the speed bump removed. Talk about your tax dollars hard at work. On the other hand, it's commendable that the man actually uses his supercar as a daily driver, and besides, doesn't a street-legal car have the right to access said public streets?

I'd be happy if my town just fixed our potholes.

Speed bumps are of the Devil. Cast them out. Send them back to fiery chasm from whence they came.

I hate speed bumps as much as the next guy especially with a lowered car, but I can understand their purpose as some people fail to respect the safety of others

In this day an age of speed cameras do we really need bumps and humps anymore? I say get rid of them all so my car's suspension doesn't get over taxed. I hate those things!

Lol. One of the upsides to driving my old Subaru Outback. I don't slow down for speed bumps. Of course, there is that one speed bump in the one apartment complex that is pretty much just a curb across the road... that almost ended very badly.

I saw an LFA on the street here a few days ago in a not particularly well-heeled part of town. It was driving past, so I didn't get a great look at it, but it was white, done up in some sort of racing livery (numbers too) and had a huge wing tacked to its ass. I'm not too familiar with them, so I'm guessing it was one of the special editions. It was pretty cool to see such an "exotic" being driven on public streets. Anyway, it seemed to be handling the less-than-ideal road surface just fine.

LEXUS LFA. And clearly you've never driven one. It's insane, but also incredibly civilized.

I love how some good discussion was generated, and people contributed to this, yet the people who can't actually grow a set big enough to comment just sit and hit the thumbs down button. AB should really get rid of the voting system and force people to discuss if they're compelled to disagree with someone.
