This is it: The Lamborghini Veneno supercar that will debut later today in Geneva and, along with the the McLaren P1 and Ferrari Enzo successor, give this motor show in Switzerland no less than three world supercar premieres. A number of images of the Veneno have leaked early, which we've assembled in the attached gallery for your slack-jawed, drool-stained perusal.

The Veneno is reported to mark Lamborghini's 50th anniversary, and will be built in a production run of just three, each with a price tag of around $4.6 million and each one bearing a color of the Italian flag (green, white or red). And no, Richie Rich, you can't have one, because all three are already sold.

As for its mechanicals, the Veneno is supposedly based on the Aventador, which makes sense, though it wears a completely different carbon fiber body that's even more extreme than other recent hypercars from Lamborghini, including the Sesto Elemento and Reventon. It will almost certainly be powered by Lamborghini's 6.5-liter V12 producing 750 horsepower, while a seven-speed single-clutch transmission will carve up that output on the way to the Veneno's reported top speed of 220 miles per hour.

Stay tuned later today for the Veneno's official debut when we can talk details and bring you live images of this show-stopper from Geneva.

I personally don't like it. I don't hate it, because it's impossible to hate something this functionally awesome. But I don't like how it looks. lamborghini has done an amazing job recently of making over-the-top, complicated, and fiddly designs very cohesive and attractive. Case in point is the Aventador, which has so many design details that it should be a complete mess, but comes off amazingly well. This does not. The design is not very cohesive and is rather jarring, and not in a good way. And the price is just stupid when you can buy something like a Huayra, an Agera R, a Zonda R, or something else of greater performance than this for a third of the cost.

Part hyper car, part Gundam wing. This thing looks like it was designed for Need for Speed games.

Can we cut the crap? Nothing that is made in a quantity of THREE qualifies as a "production vehicle". These are custom jobs. Not a damn thing "production" about them. Thats not to say its not ridiculously badass. Totally not worth the $4 million price tag though, that's a bit stupid.

Actually its genius. Build a modified aventador, sell for massive profit (thanks to the limited nature of the vehicle) to some fool with more money than sense. And it provides some eye candy for the rest of us.

Eye Candy? I went looking for the eye-wash fountain after seeing that. Please tell me that Gandini had nothing to do with it and that this wont tarnish his design legacy!

You sure thats not the new Batmobile????

This thing is just ridiculous. I mean, i get that lambos have been getting more and more \'out\' there. But this thing takes the cake. I mean do they just have 9 yr olds with Batman comics drawing up cars hoped up on Red Bull and cinnabuns? Wow. This maked the the Hennessey Venom blush (PS they stole the name from Hennessey too).

Jeeeeeezzzzzeeeeee. Never in my wildest, crazy dreams would I have expected Lambo to take their styling to this level. This puts every Lambo design ever created to shame. This is the stealth fighter Batmobile that every little boy dreams of. Wow. Of course it's ugly as sin and it perhaps bears resemblance to something Hot Wheels would have created. But unlike some of you fools, I get it. It's also insanely brutal and scary in all the right ways. Great job Lambo!
