If you've been enjoying Forza 4 on your Xbox 360 but have been clamoring for some new cars to try out, you'll want to mark February 7 on your calendar. That's when Microsoft is releasing the new American Le Mans Series pack, complete with ten new cars in digital, downloadable format.

The February ALMS Pack includes some serious race machinery, including the Audi R18 TDI that reigns as current champion at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Mazda 787B that was the last Japanese car to win the race back in 1991, the new Panoz Abruzzi "Spirit of Le Mans", and the iconic 1986 Audi Sport Quattro S1. Also included are the Platinum Motorsport Bentley Continental GT, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson's Dodge Challenger SRT8, the 1992 Alfa Romeo 155 Q4 touring-car-for-the-road, the 1995 Ford Mustang Cobra R, the Holden HSV GTS and, for when a little hatchback is called for, the Volkswagen Polo GTI.

The downloadable content pack is included in the Forza Motorsport 4 Season Pass, or can be bought for 560 MS Points (worth $7). Check out the new additions in the video after the jump and the image gallery above.

Can we get some DLC tracks?! There are already amazing cars. I want Monaco and Bathurst! Now! Thanks for the R18 though :-)

First of all, why release something called an "ALMS pack" and include road cars? Second, I recall seeing a broadcast during last year's Road America race where they mentioned that Forza 4 was "the official game of the ALMS". I'm sorry, you can call it whatever you want, but without one of the biggest teams in the series, "official" it is not. I realize this isn't Turn 10's fault, as EA has (had?) exclusive rights to the Porsche brand, but still...the fact remains that they're not there. Third, there are a total of...what? Four real world ALMS tracks to run on? You can't very well run an official season with that. Add to all of this the fact that Turn 10 have seen fit to remove endurance racing altogether from single player, thereby making pitstops completely useless and unnecessary, so that any resemblance to a real ALMS race is superficial at most. The guys at Turn 10 just don't get it. They continue to do things that show that they are only interested in appealing to the people who will go "ooooohhh, pretty cars", and not to the people who are actually interested in real life racing.

For all your complaining about "real" racing in Forza 4; Get a PC with decent specs. Download rFactor. (or purchase a pass for iRacing) Get a Logitech G27 (or a full blown Fanatec setup). Prepare to have your mind BLOWN OUT OF THE WATER. As good as Forza 4 is, it's no where NEAR the full blown sims on the PC if you're willing to stick it out.

The only ALMS car in the ALMS car pack is the Panoz Abruzzi!? What's the race record for that car? 2 DNS, 2 DNF? 100,000 DNC? The R18 made one appearance in the ALMS, and the 787B predates the ALMS by a decade. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they're included, but the other 7 are completely irrelevant. What about the GT2/E Corvette?

GT5 > Forza. Forza has terrible gameplay....slow, bogged down, and boring.

This couldn't be more different that my opinion of the two games. Forza has an actually entertaining career mode (though it lacks endurance racing) whereas GT5 has a totally surgical feel. No passion, just good looking cars, and boring races. And the way the games feel is night and day. GT5 over accentuates body roll and weight transfer under braking. I've never driven a Ferrari 458 but surely it doesn't have more brake weight transfer than my 3-series in real life. It also helps that Turn10 seems genuinely interested in supporting their product after it ships. Polyphony only releases content when absolutely necessary to stay relevant.

I've got both games and since Forza came out I've barely touched GT5. If there are new seasonal races I'll do them on GT5 but that's about it. To me Forza does a better job with the engine sounds and the way the cars drive. Also since I prefer driving from the cockpit view I love that all Forza cars have that available while it's only available on the premium GT5 cars. The way the cars look on the outside is about even to me. Both do a good job on that. I think GT5 is a little ahead on recreating the interiors. There just seems to be more detail on the GT5 interiors. GT5 also does a little better job with the looks of the tracks. I don't do online racing with either one of them so I can't speak to the differences there. But overall I would rather play Forza than GT5.

Same old, same old. If we're doing race cars, how about the Honda HSV-010 Super GT. Or Toyota's new TS030 Le Mans prototype. Heck, the new Fusion stock car is more interesting than the ones in the latest pack.

Obviously you're not much of a racing enthusiast if you think the lineup of racecars in this pack is nothing impressive. Case in point: 787B. Your argument is invalid.

And yet another car pack i'll be skipping. What is with the selection of cars? Who thinks these up? Really? And what pisses me off the most, is the 1 or 2 cars in each pack that people ACTUALLY have an interest for(ex. Aventador), they make only available as a pack only purchase. What A-holes.

Platinum Motorsports Bentley and some random Joe Schmo's Challenger... Really Turn 10? Ugly, body-kitted aftermarket-tuned cars? Just what we wanted: cars resembling the "Dub City" **** toys you see at retail stores. Surely you (Turn 10) can't be running out of ideas already for DLC cars... There are still hundreds upon hundreds of classic sportscars and exotics from pre-2000 that have yet to be thrown in this game. Please consider them before giving us crap cartoon cars that look like they belong in a Midnight Club Racing or Need For Speed game, catering to the "street" crowd. The only cars in this pack that are even remotely interesting to me are the Audi R18, Mazda 787B, and the '95 Mustang Cobra R. Not good.

Quentin "Rampage" Jackson is a 2-time light heavyweight UFC champion. He's 1 of only 3 guys to ever knock out Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell. He also played BA Baracus in The A-Team movie.

They'd have Porsche if they were able to. Best they can probably do is what Eden games did with the first Test Drive Unlimited game - get a licensing agreement with Ruf.
