Spy Shots: The Ford F-150 Raptor makes an appearance
Our buddy Mike Levine over at PickupTruck.com has uncovered more evidence of the rumored Ford F-150 "Raptor". The Raptor is a short-bed, SuperCab F-150 with extended wheel travel and plenty of beefed-up components. Judging from the pics it looks like this beasty will have ample room for some of the super-size rolling stock that serious four-wheeling junkies are so fond of. So far, Ford is either not talking or simply ignoring the existence of this new truck, but it's obvious that the Blue Oval crew has something up their sleeves.[Source: PickupTruck.com]

I see fender flares, but I don't think they will be tucking those tires for all that supposed wheel travel. It looks a lot less promising than the rumors made it out to be.

makes sense.
Big fender flares and big tires and long-travel suspension... good for those midnight runs and "fording" across the rio grande... from south to north.

I don't really care untill someone makes a better trail truck then the stock 1996-?? Dodge ram 4x4 club cab short bed.
Long travel
Last front solid axle light duty truck dana front dodge 9 1/4 rear like that will ever break
insane articulation for stock with a stock RTI over 900!
5.9 litre torque monster
Room for friends with a 6 1/2 ft bed
Short enough to be trail friendly
33x10.5 with no rubbing stock even at full articulation...
