All that money, and it looks like a lowered Ford Courier with a nice paintjob -- from the side, anyway. This Silver Shad-amino (Shadero?) has just undergone a two-year restoration by Florida's Foreman Motors. It'd be just the thing out on the Estate, cruising the grounds surrounded by sumptuous leather and wool with the Spirit of Ecstasy up on the prow. We think it's great; it's not like these particular Rollers are rare cars, anyway. The duPont Registry, want ads for those with excess filthy lucre, has it listed at $49,000, or a dollar per accrued mile. It could be worse, at least the Silver Shadow has handsome, stately lines and the conversion appears to be high-quality. Imagine what a Camargue's blockier profile would do without its fast C-pillar. Although, that rakish rear window may make a nice Cam-a-Lanche. It'd likely beat the truck in fuel economy, too.

Is it just me, but does this photo hurt your eyes? I mean aside from the subject matter. It's the brick pattern and driveway how they look like one of those early 90's 3D prints where you stare at it for hours to find the fish or the Enterprise.

"It'd be just the thing out on the Estate, cruising the grounds surrounded by sumptuous leather and wool with the Spirit of Ecstasy up on the prow."

Buy an F150 King Ranch, get one of those fuzzy faux-wool steering wheel covers, and find a Spirit of Ecstasy on Ebay.

I really think this thing is cool. It's a lot of work for something just about everybody who sees it will react in a somewhat confused manner. However, I do believe it looks pretty awesome.

Like it said in the post, you can pick up an 80's Rolls for $20k if you like. It's not going to be fun when it breaks down, but i'm just saying you can...
      Here's one from eBay:

"It'd likely beat the truck in fuel economy, too." -I would definately question this statement, however.

This is what I see Travis McGee trading up to when Miss Agnes eventually gets put to rest.

I can't decide if this is complete white trash or a skillfully executed conversion...or both.

Ever since I moved way out into the sticks, I developed this strange urge to roam around used car lots looking for cheap luxury cars to torch into pickups or stake beds. Maybe I should just buy this thing!
