Porsche decided to throw up a teaser shot of the 2008 Cayenne donning its new front end and headlight assemblies. Although darkness obscures much of the details, the general shape is exactly what we've expected.

The headlamps are the most striking change, foregoing the round assemblies that are being utilized on the rest of the Porsche lineup, and adopting a more triangular shape. The integrated fog lamps are a new design, as is the 997, Turbo-style turn signal setup.

Comparing this nighttime pic to a few recently unearthed spy shots, it's obvious that the front bumper has grown both horizontally and vertically, likely to accommodate the more stringent pedestrian impact standards being adopted abroad.

The new Cayenne is expected to debut at the Geneva Auto Show in March and will find its way into showrooms later in 2007.
