You may pro_cee'd: New Kia concept pics surface
Like a kid on Christmas Eve, Kia just couldn't wait until the big day and released the first pics of its pro_cee'd concept that it will show in Paris next week. The pro_cee'd is basically a three-door version of the cee'd crossover, which, along with its platform partner the Hyundai Arnejs, goes into production later this year.
The midsize cee'd wagon concept, which debuted at the Geneva motor show, will be built in Kia's plant in Slovakia and is set to reach European dealers in December. The pro_cee'd shows the possible 3-door version that is also rumored to be heading into production. Two more photos after the jump.

They could have dropped that body line by a couple of inches and shrunk that enormous rear pillar to put in a bigger window without changing the overall idea of the car.

Wow, if Toyota wanted to build a REAL parts bin special for Scion, it would be this (yes, I know it's a Kia). Take a tc front end and "marry it" to a 3 door version of the xa and viola...the Scion a_tcx (pronounced, AA...tacks).
Actually, apart from the "flesh-colored" paint job, this is a pretty nice car. I imagine Audi's designers are amazed that so much metal trim is now showing up on lower-priced Asian imports.

ANYONE THINK THERE OUGHT TO HAVE BEEN A CHEVY OR FORD THIS COOL BEING SHOWN NOW? -- Would have to be made in Korea, because of the UAW, but by the time the Detroit committees get through, it will be 5 years old and blanded-up so it wont scare the most conservative dealer in Peoria.
WE DON'T GOT NO MORE GUTS!!
CONTRAST TOYOTA, which is selling a Camry that is exciting in California, in 50 states, number one selling car.

Shape is similar to the VW IROC (and the 92-95 Civic hatch) but this is so much more destinctive. Very, very nice.
Dunno if the proposed turbo I4 will actually get that high but it looks like the tach shows a 9k redline! Nice.

Seems someone Loves 3 doors: Scion tC should hit 80-90,000 sales this year, and last year, they were just a few hundred short of selling 75,000 units for 2005(where Mazda3 gets all the praise, and has 5 and 4 door, etc, but only sold maybe 20,000 or so more units than a 3 door..so NO, 3 doors aren't dead. Ya gotta build an INTERESTING model, or they won't sell more than 20-30,000 a year, like Eclipse or Tiburon).
Do you ever read the monthly sales reports?
Appears that the answer may be no?
As for "Iosis" rip off? DUDE, WHERE'S IS IT, THEN? FORD AIN'T BUILDING IT, THEY CAN'T AFFORD TO STAY AFLOAT HARDLY, LOL!

Perhaps this type Kia auto will be built at the Valley AL/Westpoint GA Kia facility when it is completed in the ? near? future. Some pretty decent Hyundai vehicles are being produced about 90 miles from this site in Montgomery, AL
