The Audi A3 Sportback E-tron gets a major guest spot in this year's Emmys promo video starring the Muppets.
Do Muppets drive? We're not sure it's necessarily a good idea, but it's been known to happen. Fozzy called his hibernating uncle's Studebaker a bear's "natural habitat," and Doctor Teeth wouldn't get the Electric Mayhem very far without his band's psychedelically painted school bus. But how about Rolf in a 2014 Toyota Highlander?
We previewed Toyota's upcoming Super Bowl ad nearly a week ago, but with the big game just around the corner, the Japanese brand has now dropped the minute-long spot which will air on Sunday.
With just over a week to go before the Big Game, automakers left and right are giving us sneak peeks at the big-budget ads they've got lined up for game day. Audi is keeping us on our collective toes with something about a dog show, and Volkswagen is trying to squeeze everything awesome into one spot, but Toyota looks poised to have them both beat. Because the Japanese automaker has got a far more lovable dog cast for its commercial, and the one bit of awesome the Germans seem to have forgotten.
What's next, Tom and Jerry vs. PETA?

Perhaps it was because we’ve been awash in yuletide eggnog, but Autoblog (and apparently the entire automotive press) missed Toyota’s Prius being honored with the first-ever Jim Henson Technology Award on December 21. [Insert It’s Not Easy Being Green jokes here].
