The Mercedes-Benz G-Class is a luxury off-road vehicle with a military heritage that was designed for the rugged outdoors. The G550 is powered by a 416-hp 4.0L Twin turbo V8 while the AMG G63 has a performance tuned 577-hp 4.0L V8 twin turbo engine. Both engines are mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. The G550 comes with 19-inch wheels, LED daytime running lights, adaptive LED headlights, keyless start, rain sensing wipers, leather seating surfaces, power heated front seats, a power sliding sunroof, 3-zone climate control, an electrically heated windshield, heated mirrors, a 12.3-inch screen with Mercedes? COMAND system and navigation, hands-free Bluetooth connectivity, a Burmester surround sound system, and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration. Being a fully modern vehicle, the G550 also comes standard with a blind spot assist system, active lane keeping assist systems, active brake assist with autonomous emergency braking, driver attention assist, a rearview camera, an active parking assistant, trailer sway control (and a trailer hitch) as well as a start/stop system to save a little on fuel. For 2020, the modernized G-class carries over with the exception of new wheel size options and the ability to further customize the vehicle using the Mercedes-Benz G manufaktur program.
