Like all Sierras, the 2500HD is available in a wide array of bed sizes, wheelbases, drive types and cab sizes, as well as a variety of trim levels. The Sierra 2500HD is available as a 4x2 or 4x4 in a Regular Cab, Double Cab and Crew Cab. Several different cab and box combinations are available, the Regular Cab has an 8-foot box, the Double and Crew Cabs come with a 6.6- or 8-foot box. The Sierra 2500HD is powered by a 6.0-liter V8 capable of 322- or 360-hp and a 445-hp 6.6-liter V8 diesel both of the engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Trim specific standard equipment includes, 17- or 18-inch aluminum wheels, LED daytime running lights, pickup box cargo light, air conditioning, SiriusXM satellite radio, Pandora internet radio, Bluetooth, 8-inch touchscreen display, OnStar Turn-By-Turn Navigation, Remote Link, Guidance and 4G LTE as well as a remote locking tailgate. Available safety features include 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, six airbags, a rear view camera, low tire pressure warning, a tracker system with vehicle slowdown, trailer sway control, stability control system, Ultrasonic Front and Rear Park Assist, Forward Collision Alert and Lane Departure Warning. Optional features that can be added include remote keyless entry, Rear Vision Camera, remote starter, a Bose Speaker system, heated leather wrapped steering wheel, a rear seat entertainment system and several side assist step and tonneau cover options. The Sierra 2500HD carries over with minimal changes to options and packages for 2017.
