The GMC Sierra 1500 offers fuel economy, capability and performance in a broad lineup that includes everything from job-ready Work Truck to the well-appointed Denali. It is available in a wide array of bed sizes, wheelbases, drive types and cab sizes, and trim levels. The Sierra 1500 is available as a 4x2 or 4x4 in a Regular Cab, Double Cab and Crew Cab. Several different cab and box combinations are available, the Regular Cab has a 6.6- or 8-foot box, the Double Cab comes with a 6-foot box while the Crew Cab gets a 5.75- or 6.6-foot box. The Sierra 1500 is powered by one of three engines, a 285-hp 4.3-liter V6, a 355-hp 5.3-liter V8 and a 420-hp 6.2-liter V8, these engines are mated to either a six- or eight-speed automatic transmission. Trim specific standard equipment includes, 17- 18- or 20-inch aluminum wheels, LED daytime running lights, pickup box cargo light, heated front seats, automatic dual-zone climate control, satellite radio, Pandora internet radio, Bluetooth, 8-inch touchscreen display, OnStar Turn-By-Turn Navigation, OnStar 4G LTE and OnStar Remote Link wireless connectivity. Available safety features include 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, six airbags, a rear view camera, low tire pressure warning, front and rear parking sensors, a tracker system with vehicle slowdown, trailer sway control, stability control system, Teen Driver restricted driving mode, Lane Keep Assist, Low Speed forward Automatic Braking, and Forward Collision Alert. Optional features that can be added include remote keyless entry, Rear Vision Camera, a Bose Speaker system, a rear seat entertainment package, power sunroof and several side assist step and tonneau cover options. The Sierra 1500 carries over with minimal changes for 2017.
