2015 SS Owner Reviews (3)
I recently visited my local Chevy dealer and the lady that I trade with recommended I look at the Chevy SS. After looking I bought one. For me it is the car I wanted and have been waiting for. My friends call it a "sleeper". I believe sometime down the road this will be a classic that was missed by a lot of folks. I had a Corvette and actually prefer this over the Vette.
Best Vehicle I Have Ever Owned!
I have a 2015 SS manual and this is the only vehicle I have ever owned that has constantly put a smile on my face every time I get in it. The acceleration is pretty good for this segment of vehicles, but where it truly shines is in the corners and back roads. It's size and weight makes you a little timid when trying to fly through the curves the first couple of times, but you soon get used to the fact that this thing can be pushed much further than you are probably comfortable with. If you want quicker straight-line acceleration and slightly better gas mileage, then get the Charger SRT. If you want a manual transmission or to have one hell of a driving experience, get the SS.I only have 2 gripes. The first one is that the Bose audio system isn't very good. Clarity and imaging just isn't where it needs to be. But then again, I've never been much of a Bose person. I prefer good quality speakers over the extremely cheap ones that they use in every vehicle. They have the typical Bose sound, so if you like that then you will like these, they just aren't for me. My other gripe is that the parking brake is a little electronic switch. Would have a preferred an actual hand brake to rip while going around the track and all.Other than that, almost everything else has exceeded my expectation. People say it looks too boring, but it looks much better in person. I get asked about it everywhere I go, so clearly people notice it. So many people have asked me what kind of aftermarket exhaust system I have on it because it sounds so good. All stock! Plus, the looks on peoples' faces when their performance vehicle gets beat by or can't shake what they think is a "Malibu" is quite fun!Not too sure what the other reviewer is talking about. I'm a fairly large guy and I fit just fine in the seats (actually wish the side bolsters were a little closer and bigger to hug better in the curves). And I've driven to my parent's place many times that's over 8 hours away, no problem with them being too hard or anything. You could have a shop replace the seat padding with something softer, wouldn't cost too much.

I am a true Monte Carlo person. The Monte Carlo had the feel of a Cadillac. The performance is good but the Chevy SS is not comfortable. The seats are to small, the actual seat is to short and to narrow, it literally hurts my right leg if I'm driving for more than one hour. The seats are also to hard. Before buying this car I was looking for something as close to the Monte Carlo SS as I could get, boy was I wrong. I think the car should be a little larger, as large as the Monte Carlo. This is the first Chevrolet automobile that I that I purchased and was disappointed in and I hope it is the last. Is Chevrolet willing to bring the Monte Carlo SS back?
