GM will help you lease a car to drive for Uber in San Francisco

/
If you ever wanted to drive for Uber, but couldn't because you didn't have a car, General Motors has a solution for you as long as you live near San Francisco. The automaker, through its Maven car-sharing service, is collaborating with Uber to provide weekly leasing for people that need a car to drive for Uber.

The pilot program lasts for 90 days, and participants will be able to lease a Chevrolet Cruze, Malibu, or Trax for $179 per week, plus tax and fees. There are no mileage limits, so drivers can transport people as much as they want during the length of the lease. Insurance is included in the price, and there are no fees for using the vehicle for personal trips either.

It's certainly attractive package for someone without a car. Not only is it a way to make more money by picking up Uber fares, but it also provides access to a car for personal needs without having to actually own one – or could keep miles off a personal vehicle.
