Gymkhana 9 may be a month old, but
Ford just released a 360-degree video that lets viewers relive the events in virtual reality. Somehow, joining
Ken Block in his
Ford Focus RS RX makes the stunts in his
Gymkhana series seem even more ludicrous. In addition to letting viewers experience Block's epic drifts in VR, the video also gives a behind-the-scenes look at how the installment was filmed, including the iconic scene where the stunt driver narrowly misses colliding with a train.
Gymkhana 9 came out in September and had Block drifting around an industrial park in New York. This isn't the only 360-degree video Ford plans to put out of the ninth installment of the series, as the automaker will release part two of the Gymkhana 9 experience in the next few weeks. Seeing Block drift around in virtual reality is the best way to stay entertained before the stunt driver switches to "Climbkhana" with his 1,400-horsepower Hoonicorn V2 next summer.
